The only good part of going home after a Walt Disney World vacation is being able to look at all the souvenirs you got to take with you! There are some things, especially if it’s your first time visiting Disney that you cannot miss out on buying to remember your Walt Disney World vacation.
Here is a list of some of the must have souvenirs to bring home:
1. Mickey/Minnie Mouse Ears – bring a piece of the mouse home with you and get your own pair of Mickey or Minnie ears to commemorate your visit. Our favorite part of having our own Minnie ears is we can bring them on our next visit to the parks! Ears can be found in almost every shop in every park, as well as Disney Springs. They aren’t hard to come by! Approx. $29.99 US +
2. Pins – Pins are a big hit in Walt Disney World parks. You can collect them or trade them while in the parks with cast members. Price varies.
3. Apparel – There isn’t one visit we’ve made to Disney where we haven’t purchased apparel. Whether it says Walt Disney World on it or just Mickey Mouse, you can show it off at home or wherever you go! Price varies.
4. Autograph Books – This is a great souvenir to have to remember your visit with each character in the parks. With an autograph book and pen in hand, your favorite Disney characters can sign your book! $9.95-$19.99 US. *Note: currently due to COVID-19 restrictions, up close interactions with characters are not happening. 6. Refillable Resort Cup – If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you can purchase a refillable resort cup that gives you unlimited refills of your favourite beverages during your resort stay. Plus, they feature cute graphics on the cup – we like to use these cups while at home to pretend we are at a resort! These are $19.99 US
7. Popcorn Buckets – Two words. Popcorn. Buckets. They seem to be all the craze at Walt Disney World, some even wait 6 hours for them *cough cough* Figment. But nevertheless, they are super cute. One of a kind themed popcorn buckets that can only be found at Walt Disney World – they can be pretty big though, so keep that in mind if you plan on putting it in your suitcase to bring home. They range from $18-$25 US
8. Make Your Own Droid/Lightsaber – At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios, you can make your own droid and lightsaber! Make your own droid at the Droid Depot – you can build a BB-series (like BB-8) or an R-series (like R2-D2). It is $99.99 US per droid unit, plus tax. Or if you’re more of a battle kind of person, make your way to Savi’s Workshop and build your very own lightsaber, blue, green, violet, red – the choice is yours! It is $219.99 US per lightsaber, plus tax.
9. Mugs – We love adding Disney to our home and mugs are a great way of doing so! They are inexpensive and small enough to pack in your luggage. We have countless mugs from Disney, as a matter of fact, we get one every time we go to Disney! $14.99 US +.
10. Pennies! Don’t forget to bring a stack of pennies with you when you visit Disney. Throughout the parks, you will find penny and coin press machines, which will give you a very cool collectible to take home. NEW! Disney has added special 50th anniversary coin presses.
