50th Anniversary - It's all about the Merchandise

Nothing gets us more excited than to see themed merchandise being launched by Disney. With the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World in Florida well underway, an extensive array of new merchandise has arrived online and in stores.

A key part of the new collection, celebrating this milestone anniversary, is the line of iridescent products. From the adorable varsity jacket to nuiMO outfits to the already sold-out Starbuck tumbler, every where you look the shimmery purple coloring is everywhere. This modern and innovative look is a stark contrast to the other anniversary themed products which focus on the classic look and feel of Disney years gone by. Either modern or classic, we love it all!

Not to be negative, but we are slightly disappointed about the limited amount of product available on the ShopDisney website. We know that in the parks and in Disney Springs, there is a significant more options available. And they seem to be releasing new products constantly, which is great news for the Disney park-goer. According to the Walt Disney World website, you can now get your hands on the latest 50th anniversary merchandise at:

• World of Disney at Disney Springs

• Emporium at Magic Kingdom Park

• Creations Shop at Epcot

• Keystone Clothiers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park

• Bayview Gifts at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

What’s on our wish list? There are so many amazing 50th anniversary commemorative items that we want, including:

• Mickey and Minnie Mouse Trinket Tray

• Mickey Wishables Plush

• Leather Dooney & Bourke Tote Bag

• 50th Anniversary Starbucks Tumbler

And this list wouldn’t be complete without the new Jeweled Ears, but with a price tag of $750, we may have to find a different pair of cute new ears to add to our collection!

We can’t wait to get to the Walt Disney World to explore all of the great 50th anniversary items. But until then, shopping online is our new past time and the key to our happiness.
